Norzulkarnien brings with him over 16 years of experience in the robust Islamic financial industry. He was previously Head, Islamic Banking at Maybank Singapore where he oversaw the business strategy, development and adoption of Islamic Banking products and services. Prior to 2019, he helmed various business units within Maybank Islamic which included Consumer Finance & Distribution, Portfolio Management, Product Management and Retail Banking and Transformation.
Currently he is responsible for Maybank Group Islamic Banking’s overall strategic planning, implementation and communications including its Centre of Excellence, with a focus on profitable growth, visibility, leadership and improved efficiency in home and key international markets through coordination with stakeholders across the Maybank Group.
