In July 2011, Maybank brought its considerable size, institutional expertise and financial stability to a merger with Kim Eng Holdings Limited, Singapore's first public-listed broker.
As Maybank Kim Eng, we expanded our products and services footprint deeper into the ASEAN region and beyond.
On our 10th anniversary, in 2021, we have consolidated our identity by leveraging on the strength of the Maybank brand, the most ubiquitous financial services business in ASEAN, and increasingly one of the most influential.
As part of this alignment, the names of our operating entities in each market is now aligned accordingly to the Maybank brand except for Malaysia where we continue to be known as Maybank Investment Bank.
No other investment banking group has boots on the ground in ASEAN like we do. From our beginnings as a single-market entity, Maybank Investment Banking Group is today a 10-market ASEAN leader. We are present in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, as well as Hong Kong, India, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
