MORE THAN JUST GOLF
In line with Maybank’s mission to Humanise Financial Services, our golf events have earned a well-deserved reputation for featuring innovative activities designed to engage spectators and provide a wholesome, inclusive and enriching experience, bringing both Maybank and the tournament closer to the people we serve.

With Malaysians being such huge foodies, each edition of the Maybank Championship has been not only a food festival but also saw the participation of celebrity chefs. In the 2019 event, MasterChef Australia winners Diana Chan and Sashi Cheliah treated spectators to cooking Master Classes, while previous editions saw other well-known chefs like Anis Nabila, Anton Mosimann and Adrian Richardson sharing their culinary skills and creations.

One of the most unique activities of the Maybank Championship was the "Beat The Pro Challenge” introduced in 2018, where invited amateurs were given the chance to take on the professionals in a Nearest The Pin contest during the actual tournament. Staged at a designated par-three during Saturday’s third round, this marked the first time such a challenge had been staged in Asia – further underlining Maybank’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
